The Microsoft Surface Studio! The future of PC!

I'm just gonna say it now, so spoiler alert. The new Microsoft Surface Studio is amazing, in multiple ways. Firstly, it has a 5000 x 3000 28 inch touch screen, and apparently it is gorgeous. The studio also packs one powerful GPU with 4gb of GPU, and has the best intel processors available right now. There is also a new product called the surface dial that is for turning the brightness up, turning up the volume, choosing the right colour for drawing, and many many other things. The only down side is, its $99 sold separately. Yep... Microsoft is the new Apple.

Everybody thought Microsoft was going to release a product that can compete with the iMac, but after the event, I'm convinced that the new studio is not a competitor for mainly 2 reasons. The iMac is mostly for mainstream consumers who want a desktop that is an all in one. The processors and everything is behind the screen in the back. This studio is a complete new genre of desktop and its only targeting the creators. They even made a new windows 10 version called the windows 10 creator.

So now the price point. The studio is expensive, and this is the main reason why its so different to the iMac because you thought Apple was expensive? This studio starts at $3000 dollars. Comparatively the iMac starts at $1800 and sure maybe the studio has a more powerful graphics card and slightly better processor, I don't think the price gap can justify that. They are in different genres, and thats completely fine. You can use the studio as your work PC even though you're not a creator but I would really argue the point as you're better off just buying a 5k monitor and attach it to an amazing high end PC.

That all being said, the new Microsoft studio is amazing, from its design, to functionality, and Microsoft has completely nailed it for the people they are targeting the product to. If you're a creator, especially 3D and you're looking for a new desktop that can allow you to create more and better, don't look elsewhere the Microsoft studio is all you're gonna need.

What are your thoughts on the Microsoft Studio? Let me know in the comments below but for now, thanks for reading!
