First generation Apple Watch!
Earlier today I got an offer on trade me for an apple watch first generation that didn't get sold for $210 NZD. For those of you who don't know trade me is an auction site in New Zealand and it's actually really good. When I saw the offer I knew I had to take it because to put this into perspective the watch was $150 USD. It was an amazing deal and the watch itself is in very good condition apart from some scratches on the screen but I know I can live with that. The watch is an apple watch sport first generation 42mm silver with light green sport bands.
So why bother with the first generation apple watch now after being released a year and a half ago? Well most people who have reviewed the apple watch series 2 have said that if they had the choice to upgrade or not, they wouldn't. The apple watch first generation is already a really good smart watch. It can do basically everything the apple watch series 2 can and with watchOS 3 it will be a really good experience to see what its like.
Main reason I wanted to an Apple watch in the first place was because I lost my previous watch which was just an ordinary watch. I had plans to get the apple watch series 2 but the new technology in it wasn't really what I was looking for. Then I realised basically everything I want in the apple watch is already there. I'm only going to use it to send replies on text messages and Facebook messages. I will probably use it for fitness as well but I don't really do much of that either. It's merely an accessory to an iPhone and if people ask me whether or not they NEED it, I say no, it's a luxury item. That being said I'm extremely excited to get an apple watch and see what it's like living with it.
I will be blogging about my initial impressions with the new apple watch here. If you have any questions about this please let me know, but for now thanks for reading!
