iPhone 7 plus vs Google Pixel XL

It's been a few days since the announcement of the Google Pixel phones and it's obvious Google is trying to go head to head against Apple. Now that everything about the Google Pixel phones are out lets see how it compares to everything Apple has to offer in 2016. Here I will show you 2 things the Apple iPhone 7 plus does better than the Google Pixel XL and 2 things the Google Pixel Xl does better than the iPhone 7 plus.

2 things that the iPhone 7 plus does better:

Firstly the Camera. Now the real testing of the Pixel XL's camera hasnt started yet but one thing is for sure and that is that the new Pixel XL doesn't have the dual camera set up the iPhone 7 plus has to offer. The telephoto lens on the iPhone 7 plus can zoom much more than the rest of the phones. Also, the iPhone 7 plus's camera is no joke. It is definitely up there 1st or 2nd this year. We will just have to wait and see for the camera quality.

Secondly Water resistance. The iPhone 7 plus is water resistant with an IP67 rating. This means it can be submerged under a meter of water for 30 minutes. Though be careful because it's not covered by Apples warranty. The Google Pixel XL is IP53. This means it can withstand splashes but not any sort of submersions. I think every phone that costs $750 and more should at least be water resistant for some submersion, so here the Apple's iPhone 7 plus definitely does better. Plus this now means you can use your iPhone in the pool or the shower. Neat.

2 things the Google Pixel XL does better than the iPhone 7 plus:

Firstly the screen. The Google Pixel XL comes with an amazing 1440p (quad-HD) Super AMOLED screen from Samsung so you can bet it's good. Apple's iPhone 7 plus's screen is extremely good as well, now supporting Cinema P3 colour standards as well, but LCD vs AMOLED, AMOLED will most likely always win. The screen on the Pixel XL is absolutely gorgeous and if this matters to you a lot then I would suggest the Pixel XL.

Secondly the headphone jack. The iPhone 7 plus lacks the headphone jack and I hear other reviewers on youtube saying Apple should have made the headphone jack an iPhone 7 plus exclusive but I think that entirely misses the point. Apple didn't remove the headphone jack to make space, they want to move the industry forward, and the added space came along with it. That being said if you do not like the loss of the headphone jack, well the Google Pixel XL does have it on the top. I went more in depth with the headphone jack on yesterdays post so go check it out as well if you haven't! https://goo.gl/7vkGRp

So overall what are your thoughts? I personally think the Google Pixel doesn't offer enough for it's price tag to justify itself, and if I had to make a choice I would opt out for the iPhone 7 plus. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, and thank you for reading!
