Is the iPhone 7 truly a good enough flag ship?

So its been a few weeks since the announcement of the iPhone 7, apples 9th iPhone. This year the tech giant decided to make a few controversial changes to their iPhone. So lets talk in depth about the changes apple made this year, and see after all, is the iPhone 7 good enough?

The iPhone without a doubt is the most anticipated piece of technology on planet earth and all media turn their heads to apple in september each year. Here`s a run down of the new features on the iPhone 7. Wide colour gamut screen, new solid state home button, stereo speakers with one in the ear piece and one on the bottom, new front facing 7mp camera, new rear 12mp camera with f1.8, IP67 water resistance, the smoking fast a10 fusion chip, and more. What it doesn't have is a headphone jack and I`ll cover on that in a little bit.

So firstly there are now two new colours to the iPhone line up. Gone is the space grey which has been replaced with the new black colour and the new jet black colour has joined the line up as well. I bought the iPhone 7 black 128gb and I will be reviewing it as soon as it comes. I went for the black because its been a huge talk on the internet about how the jet black scratches too easily and I wasn't really up for that. Also you will have to wait until November if you wanted one.

The camera comparisons I see online are all between the Samsung galaxy s7 or the s7 edge. This is understandable as without a doubt they have the best camera on an android phone. That being said, the best camera of the year is between the s7 and the iPhone 7. They are so close that its hard to recommend someone a phone based on their camera and either way you'll be getting a great camera.

So the lack of the headphone jack. This is a really controversial topic. The problem with iphones is that because it sells so many phones each year, obviously it can't please everybody. So if you're the type of person that uses bluetooth earphones or headphones then you have no problem. If you are the type of person that uses a standard 3.5mm headphone jack then oh boy are you going to have a tough time. If you don't mind the new lighting earphones apple put in the box then you're sweet but if you have your own that you bought then you either have to use the dongle they attach in the box or simply go get another phone. In the end, by the next iPhone we would all be too used it we wont even talk about it. Also pretty much all of the phones in 2017 will probably not have a headphone jack.

All in all is the new iPhone 7 good enough? Well my initial thoughts is yes. But if you have a 6s then I would say wait for the 10 year anniversary iPhone because that phone is going to be amazing. Tune in for my iPhone 7 first impressions and review in a few weeks for a more in depth review!
